3) WWE Employees Being Kept In The Dark About The Summerslam Location
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE is keeping their employees in the dark when it comes to the location of Summerslam. He also says that the company is still trying to host the show at an outdoor location.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
WWE is still hoping to do an outdoor venue for Summerslam.
As rumored, WWE is looking at places to possibly run in the New York area, and even on the coast of Florida — at least according to what officials told talent when they asked. Talent we’ve spoken to aren’t generally being told of the plans or attempts unless they press the matter. As of last week, several in production had heard “no discussion” of the rumors and learned about them online.
WWE have had an itch to promote an outdoor or live fan show for months. In June there were plans for July, that eventually got scrapped.
My Take:
- I still don’t think it is happening as it feels like they would have known by now. I guess you never know what WWE can do at the last minute though.
2) NXT UK Takeover: Dublin Likely Not Happening
NXT UK Takeover: Dublin was postponed to October 25th due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, this event is likely going to be postponed again.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
NXT UK was scheduled to have a Takeover in Dublin, Ireland on 10/25 but given the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, that is looking less and less likely to take place as originally envisioned.
My Take:
- This is definitely a bummer but makes sense based on what is going on in the world right now. The Dublin fans are great though and I hope they get another event in the future.
