Rumor Roundup: Roman Reigns’ Backstage Request, Big Change That WWE Is Considering, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Big Change That WWE Is Considering

Due to COVID-19, WWE has not been able to run any house shows. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there has now been some talk in WWE about permanently cutting back on the number of live events that they produce. This will be for when things start to get back to normal.

This means that WWE is considering getting rid of house shows completely or scaling them back in a big way.

My Take:

  • I feel like this would be good and bad. The good would be that it would be much better for the wrestlers and their health. If they don’t have to wrestle 5 days a week, it will be better for them in the long-term. The bad would be that some of the best live experiences I’ve had as a wrestling fan have come at these non-televised house shows. It would suck to see them scrapped completely. Maybe the solution is somewhere in the middle?

4) Update On The Rumors Of Brock Lesnar Going Back To The UFC

Ever since the news came out about Brock Lesnar being a free agent, fans started to speculate about him going back to the UFC. Dana White even noted recently that he would be interested in booking Lesnar vs Jon Jones.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Brock has not put himself into the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool. That means he is not interested in returning to UFC.

My Take:

  • I would love to see another Brock fight in the UFC but I just don’t think it will happen. He would have to stay in the testing pool for several months to be eligible to fight.
