Rumor Roundup: The Forgotten Sons’ WWE Future, Update On Wrestlemania 37, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Update On The Status Of Wrestlemania 37

Over the weekend, rumors started to circulate that Wrestlemania 37 is no longer being listed on the schedule for SoFi Stadium. This rumor is false.

Here is a screenshot, which shows Wrestlemania 37 still on the schedule on the stadium’s website:

My Take:

  • It still seems too early for WWE to make a decision to move the event. We will have to wait and see what happens but I am glad that we are able to help kill those rumors before they get any legs.

4) Why WWE Is Doing An Ambulance Match

Drew McIntyre will be defending his WWE Championship against Randy Orton at Clash of Champions. This will be an ambulance match. A rumor going around suggests that there is a specific reason why WWE decided to use an ambulance match as the stipulation.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer speculated that the signs are pointing towards Drew dropping his title at Clash of Champions. If that is the case, an ambulance match is a way to get the title off him, without him taking a pinfall loss:

The one thing the ambulance match does is it allows them to protect McIntyre from taking a pin while getting the title off him.

My Take:

  • If Drew is losing the belt, this does seem like a good way to protect him. That way, they can still do Drew vs Randy in a Hell in a Cell match.
