3) Another Talent Released From WWE

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Twitter, Josiah Williams was recently let go by WWE. He worked on various digital properties and was praised backstage for his work.

Here is what Sapp Tweeted:

Fightful has learned that unfortunately Josiah Williams was a part of the WWE cuts this week. He’s appeared on various digital properties and did the theme music for Cameron Grimes. We’ve heard from so many names speaking highly of him and his work.

My Take:

  • I think Williams will land on his feet. It seems like he is a talented guy and I wish him the best of luck.

2) Update On A Backstage Rumor Going Around

There was a rumor going around about someone hiding a cell phone in the bathroom of a WWE locker room. A WWE Superstar found the phone and there were some “less than savory files” on it. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer clarified these rumors.

Meltzer says that this was an incident that happened years ago in WWE and not something that recently happened:

There was a story going around this past week regarding a wrestler who had hidden a phone as a camera in a bathroom and that a talent found the phone and found “less than savory” files stored. The story got out this week and people thought it was something recent in the WWE dressing room. It was actually something at a party several years ago at the residence of a wrestler who is not with the company (not related to this at all) and as far as the person who owned the phone and was doing so, a number of wrestlers have known this story for years but it wasn’t until fairly recently that management found out the story when a major star went to management and that wrestler is also no longer with the company.

My Take:

  • The key part here is that the wrestler responsible is no longer with the company. That is definitely good news.
