Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) WWE’s Plan For Shane McMahon
According to a report from Ringside News, Shane McMahon isn’t going to just appear on RAW for a few weeks and then disappear again. WWE is planning to keep Shane on television for the long-term.
Here is what the site wrote about Shane:
Ringside News has learned that Shane McMahon is “back back,” he’s not just returning for a one-off appearance. Expect to see a lot more of Vince McMahon’s son.
It was told to us by a member of the creative team with close knowledge of the situation that the plan is for McMahon to be back and “it’s all about Shane again.”
My Take:
- This will definitely piss off the fans who dislike Shane. It looks like we can expect to see him on a weekly basis from now on.
4) WWE Is High On An NXT Superstar
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is very high on Ridge Holland from NXT. He is better known as Luke Menzies and is a former rugby player. WWE apparently believes that he is going to be “the next big thing”.
Here is what Alvarez said (h/t to Ringside News for the quote below):
“We have a North American Title qualifying match with Damien Priest, Oney Lorcan, and Ridge Holland. By the way, I’ve had a lot of people emailing me about Ridge Holland. They think that he has the potential to be the next big thing which is, that’s saying something. So we’ll see.”
My Take:
- I have liked what I have seen from Ridge so far. I definitely need a bigger sample size though before I give my full judgment.
