3) More Rumors About ‘RAW Underground’
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), there were some other hosts that were suggested for RAW Underground’ (other than Shane McMahon).
Sapp also says that the “Underground” name is something that WWE has considered using for other projects in the past:
“As of midnight EST, WWE were still filming content for next week’s WWE Raw Underground. We’re told that there were other hosts besides Shane McMahon suggested, and the “Underground” name had been thrown around for other projects in the past years. Much of the main roster had no idea what was even being filmed today.”
My Take:
- I am willing to give the ‘RAW Underground’ stuff a few more weeks before I make any real judgement. I feel like some fans are writing it off too quickly.
2) WWE Had Some Issues With Organization During Their Recent Smackdown Taping
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE only taped one episode of Smackdown on Tuesday. They were supposed to tape two episodes but ran into some “organization” problems.
Here is what he said:
“Due to problems regarding organization, yesterday’s Smackdown tapings only taped one show instead of the scheduled two. The one show taped will air this Friday.”
My Take:
- It sounds like things are a mess right now backstage. Another rumor is that Vince McMahon only approved 4 out of 30 storyline pitches that were made to him during this week’s episode of RAW. It sounds like Smackdown could be dealing with the same issue.
