Rumor Roundup: The Plans For The Universal Title Feud, Top WWE Star Is Working Without A Contract, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Superstar Led To WWE’s New Mask Policy

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE implemented their new mask policy after a Superstar complained that the company was not taking it seriously enough. Here is what Sapp wrote:

We’ve heard that the wrestler expressed his concerns about proper measures not being taken seriously enough, such as mask utilization and social distancing. This led to McMahon adding the rule that masks are mandatory and failure to comply will result in a fine.

There is no name mentioned but it was said that it was someone who recently returned to RAW.

My Take:

  • My guess is that it was the Big Show, as he returned recently and would be someone who has enough pull with Vince McMahon to complain directly. I am not completely sure though.

4) Top WWE Star Is Working Without A Contract

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, Rey Mysterio is currently working for WWE without a contract.

Here is a summary of what Meltzer said (via F4WOnline):

Rey Mysterio is currently working for WWE without a contract.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Mysterio’s latest WWE deal, signed in September 2018, has expired but that he is still working for WWE. Mysterio and his son, Dominik, have been heavily featured on Raw in a key storyline with Seth Rollins.

My Take:

  • This is actually really interesting. I wonder if he is just finishing up this storyline with Dominick and Seth Rollins before leaving television. We will have to wait and see but this is something to keep your eye on.
