Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Another Backstage Note On Becky Lynch’s Return
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Bianca Belair and Carmella were both told about Becky Lynch’s surprise return at Summerslam. Other than them, Becky’s return was kept as a secret from everyone backstage.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
Lynch’s name did not appear on internal run sheets, and there were segments added to WWE Summerslam to adjust for the time missed in the Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair match that couldn’t end up happening.
My Take:
- It was great to see Becky back. I just wish they didn’t squash Bianca.
4) Update On Sasha Banks’ Return
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE is hoping to have Sasha Banks return for September 10th.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
Banks was not on the road for WWE this past weekend and unless there is a last minute change, we are told she will not be returning this week, either.
PWInsider.com has been told that the hope, should all go well, is that Banks will return to the road for the company the weekend of 9/10, which would be the Super Smackdown taping in New York City at Madison Square Garden. Nothing is 100% until it happens, but that is the current expectation internally.
My Take:
- Becky vs Sasha is a program that definitely makes sense over these next few months. Can’t wait to see them face off.
