Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) WWE Makes Change To Hell In A Cell
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has changed the date of the upcoming Hell in a Cell PPV.
The event was originally supposed to take place on November 1st. It has now been moved by WWE to October 25th.
There is no word yet on why WWE made this change. WWE’s lease with the Amway Center expires on October 31st, so that is the popular speculation right now on why they moved it.
My Take:
- This isn’t a massive deal as it will still be about a month after the Clash of Champions PPV. Plenty of time to build towards the event.
4) The Original Plans For Asuka At Clash Of Champions
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plan a few weeks go was for Asuka to face Shayna Baszler at Clash of Champions.
That appears to have changed now since Shayna is one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions with Nia Jax. That means she has to defend her belt at the event.
Asuka is also currently feuding with Mickie James, which could be her opponent at the PPV.
My Take:
- Asuka vs Mickie James is probably what we are going to get at Clash of Champions. I still want to see Asuka vs Shayna down the road though as that could be a really fun match.
