Rumor Roundup: The Wrestlemania Plans For Sasha Banks, Top Free Agent Meets With Triple H, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Top Free Agent Meets With Triple H

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Triple H recently met with Killer Kross, who is currently a free agent.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

While not signed yet, the betting line is that Kevin Kaser, 34 (Killer Kross) ends up here. There was thought to be interest in him across the board in wrestling due to his look. Multiple sources said Kaser and Paul Levesque were to have met this week. Besides Impact he had worked a lot on-and-off in AAA and Konnan was a huge proponent of him as far as potential. During his time in AAA, he was booked like a monster and never asked to lose. While it never went anywhere due to WWE signing Cain Velasquez, they were planning on a Velasquez vs. Kross program in AAA and started teasing it in Velasquez’s first match. Kross had been one of Impact’s most pushed stars until he was in a contract dispute with the promotion which led to him being iced for months and eventually released. His girlfriend, Elizabeth Chihaia, better known as Scarlett Bordeaux, is in NXT although has not been pushed on television although she did a quick cameo in an outdoor shot on one of the TV shows. Paul Levesque is said to be high on him

My Take:

  • Kross to NXT would make sense since his girlfriend is with the company. He is a talented guy and I am excited to see him in NXT if he does sign.

4) Rumor On The Wrestlemania 36 Card

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the Wrestlemania 36 match card is still pretty “wide open”. There have even been some people at the WWE Performance Center who were told to be ready in case a spot opens up for them at the event.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

This is hardly news at this point, but those that we’ve spoken to in WWE say that WrestleMania is still “wide open in many regards.” At this point in previous years, there would be run-sheets or tentative WrestleMania lineups around, though those have been made more secretive in recent years. At this point, no one we’ve spoken to has seen a run sheet or anything related to that yet. There have been a couple of people at the Performance Center who have been told to “be ready” in case a WrestleMania spot is there for them.

Of those that we spoke to about the topic, almost all saw that as a positive and a welcome change as compared to previous years. One wrestler said that it leads them to think WWE will go with who is hot for certain spots instead of trying to make certain talent hot to fit the roles they’ve already decided for them.

My Take:

  • I like the unpredictability this year. It definitely makes the next few months more exciting.
