Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Note On Bayley’s Injury
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there was a lot of second-guessing backstage about WWE’s mandatory training that they had Superstars do. This comes after Bayley tore her ACL during one of the training sessions.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
The injury( Bayley’s torn left ACL) in mandatory training led to a lot of controversy and obvious second guessing. A number of wrestlers noted to me that they thought ring drills with the idea of getting people in shape when most of the key talent has been wrestling every week and to their credit, you almost never see anyone gas out in WWE, didn’t make sense.
My Take:
- I think if you see your friend get injured in a training session and not in an actual show, you would be mad. I don’t blame anyone for second guessing it but I still don’ think it was WWE’s fault. Seemed like a freak accident to me.
4) Davey Boy Smith Jr.’s Name In WWE
Davey Boy Smith Jr returned to WWE before this week’s episode of Smackdown. He worked a dark match prior to the show going on the air.
According to WWE’s Youtube channel, he will be going by the name ‘Harry Smith’ and not Davey Boy Smith Jr.
My Take:
- I am just happy to see him back. Hopefully he kills it.
