3) Mercedes Martinez’s Future
Mercedes Martinez was originally in the RETRIBUTION faction. Mercedes was known as ‘Retaliation’ but it was reported this week that she has now been removed from the group.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Mercedes is being moved back to NXT on a full-time basis.
My Take:
- Mercedes going back to NXT just stacks the Women’s division even more. There is so much talent in NXT right now and hopefully Mercedes does not get lost in the shuffle.
2) NXT Interested In Signing Free Agent
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, NXT has an interest in signing Ben Carter.
Carter recently appeared on AEW and he was also trained by Seth Rollins. Here is what Sapp wrote:
Fightful has learned that Ben Carter has drawn the interest of multiple companies, not just All Elite Wrestling. We’ve been told that there was also at least contact with NXT, but weren’t told how serious those discussions were or how far the conversations got. We’ve also heard that other companies have expressed interest in the prospect.
My Take:
- He seems to be a talented guy, so I am excited to see what his future holds. He could be a breakout star over the next few years.
