5) Appearance Scrapped From Wrestlemania 36.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE was in contact with Hulk Hogan for him to appear at Wrestlemania 36.
The negotiations ended up breaking down, which is why Hogan didn’t appear on the show:
“They did want Hogan for this year’s WrestleMania but the two sides couldn’t come to financial terms. This would not be to wrestle, but for an appearance”
My Take:
- Since it was a taped show with no crowd, it doesn’t really make sense to bring in a guy like Hulk Hogan. I am not upset that he didn’t make an appearance at the event.
4) The Reason Why Drew McIntyre Missed The RAW Episode Before Wrestlemania 36
Some fans have been wondering why Drew McIntyre didn’t appear on the RAW episode prior to Wrestlemania 36. Brock Lesnar vs Drew McIntyre was the main event of Wrestlemania 36, so it was strange not to see Drew appear on the episode to build towards the match.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Drew was in quarantine after traveling to the United Kingdom. That is why he missed the RAW episode prior to Wrestlemania 36:
The reason McIntyre wasn’t on TV for the final build-up for Raw, like Sane and Lashley, is that they all came in from foreign countries and quarantined themselves during the period the last shows were taped
My Take:
- That does make sense. I was definitely confused as to why Drew didn’t brawl with Brock on that episode.
