Charlotte Flair won the Smackdown Women’s Championship from Natalya on Smackdown Live this week. As a result, she will be off Team Smackdown in the elimination match and will be facing Alexa Bliss at the event instead.
Byron Saxton teased that we will find out who the 5th member of Team Smackdown is on Sunday. Let’s speculate on who will join Becky Lynch, Tamina, Naomi and Carmella.
1) Natalya will be the 5th member. This would be an easy swap for WWE as Charlotte and Natalya just switch places.
2) Paige returns and is named the 5th member of Team Smackdown. Paige was backstage at RAW this week and was expected to debut but plans changed at the last-minute. Maybe the reason was for Paige to be used as a surprise and join the blue brand? From what I have seen on social media so far, Paige seems to be the popular theory from fans.
3) WWE calls up a female talent from NXT. Would be the perfect opportunity for someone new to debut. Someone like Ember Moon or one of Peyton Royce/ Billie Kay.
4) Nikki Bella returns and is the 5th member.
