Monday Night RAW this week saw a major shake-up to the Women’s division. Paige returned to interrupt the fatal 4-way match to determine Alexa Bliss’ next title challenger. Paige didn’t show up alone though. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose from NXT joined her and the new group attacked the Women of RAW.
Alexa Bliss spoke to the group backstage but was also attacked.
Let’s speculate on what this debut means for Alexa Bliss & the RAW Women’s Championship moving forward.
Scenario 1) Paige is the next challenger for the RAW Women’s Championship. WWE teased this when Paige, Sonya & Mandy attacked Alexa backstage. We have already seen Alexa have programs with Sasha, Bayley & Mickie so this would be a fresh feud for the title.
Scenario 2) Going a step further from scenario 1, Alexa Bliss turns babyface in the feud with Paige. There were a lot of fans speculating after RAW that the attack on Alexa might have been the start of her face turn. Could be an interesting way to go here.
Scenario 3) The least likely scenario is that WWE goes with Asuka vs Alexa Bliss for the title. It seems like WWE is holding off on Asuka winning the title and isn’t rushing her into it. This would also be the scenario if WWE wanted to wait to put Paige into the Women’s title mix right away. As a long-term plan, it could lead to Asuka vs Paige for the RAW Women’s Title at Wrestlemania 34.
