Speculation On What Daniel Bryan Could Be Planning On Smackdown Live

There is no question that Daniel Bryan has been at odds with Shane McMahon over the past few weeks on Smackdown Live. There has been a lot of tension teased between the two and it remains as one of the biggest mysteries on WWE’s blue brand.

Our speculation (reminder that it is only speculation): Daniel Bryan might be behind an NXT invasion. The idea would be to gain control of Smackdown Live from Shane. Here is some evidence from the past few weeks:

Evidence #1 – Daniel has been very annoyed with Shane McMahon lately. He disagreed with Shane and his invasion of Monday Night RAW without consulting him. Daniel also blames Shane for when he was attacked by Kane on RAW a few weeks back. Bryan is clearly not happy with Shane and there is something going on. He has some reasons to want Shane gone as commissioner.

Evidence #2 – It was teased that Daniel might have been behind the NXT Women’s attack on the Smackdown locker room. Shane revealed backstage that it was Bryan’s idea to call up Ruby Riot, Sarah Logan & Liv Morgan to the main roster. He also did so without consulting Shane first. Pretty suspicious that the three new call-ups from Daniel happened to attack the locker room.

Evidence #3 – Daniel stopped Shane right as he was about to fire Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. He convinced Shane not to fire them and gave them matches instead. Sami & Kevin happen to be two guys who hate Shane McMahon and would be easily persuaded to join Bryan if he was planning something. Sami & Kevin both also happen to be former NXT stars. There has to be a reason why Bryan doesn’t want them to be fired and this could come into play later on.

Based on the behavior of Bryan as of late, it looks to us like he is planning to overthrow Shane McMahon. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comment section below.
