We already know one person who will be competing for the Cruiserweight Title at Wrestlemania 34. That would be Cedric Alexander, who punched his ticket with his win against Roderick Strong on 205 Live this week. [Note: the match was worth checking out for anyone who usually skips 205 Live].

Mustafa Ali vs Drew Gulak is the next semi-finals match to determine Alexander’s opponent. So, who will win? Let’s speculate.
Traditional logic would be that it makes sense for Gulak to win since he is a heel. This would set up a heel vs babyface feud for Wrestlemania. I do NOT think he will win though and instead think it will be Mustafa Ali in the finals. Let me explain.
You have likely heard the news about Triple H taking over 205 Live. The show has received a major facelift over the past several weeks, focusing a lot more on in-ring work than it did before. I think that Triple H is going to want to put on the best, in-ring match possible for Wrestlemania 34. This is because the event will provide a major platform for WWE to showcase the new-look Cruiserweight division to fans. I think that the goal in mind will be to try and gain back some viewership with the flashiest match possible.

Nothing against Gulak (as I am a big fan of his) but Mustafa Ali is the flashier of the two and provides much more high-flying offense. There is no doubt in my mind that Alexander and Ali could put on a great match with one another on the big stage.
As a result, I think that WWE will go with Ali vs Alexander as the final match.
