Daniel Bryan was attacked by the Bludgeon Brothers on Smackdown Live this week. This caused Bryan to get eliminated from the gauntlet match, losing a WWE Championship opportunity as a result. This was certainly a curveball that I don’t think many fans would have predicted.

So where is this storyline heading? Let’s speculate a little bit here!
Bryan will obviously be now feuding with the Bludgeon Brothers over the next few weeks. I have a theory of where I think they will head with this storyline. It seems like a safe bet that Bryan will challenge for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles at Extreme Rules next month. The only question is, who will Bryan’s tag team partner be?
I think that Paige is going to force Daniel Bryan to team up with his arch-nemesis the Miz. I am not really sure how exactly it will happen but I think we will end up with Bryan and the Miz vs the Bludgeon Brothers at Extreme Rules. It might sound odd at first glance but I think it makes sense. The first reason why is that the dynamic between the Miz and Bryan having to team with one another would be a lot of fun. We know that these guys are bitter rivals and forcing them to work together could make for some entertaining television.
The second reason is that it will help kickstart the build towards Daniel Bryan vs the Miz at Summerslam. They will not be able to work together at Extreme Rules and will start fighting with one another. They will lose the Tag Team Title match and we will be off and running towards a great Summerslam feud.
