Steve Austin On If He Thinks Roman Reigns Would Have Been A Star In The ‘Attitude Era’

‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin was at the forefront of the WWE’s ‘Attitude Era’. This was the time period in WWE from about 1997 until 2002. This era created some of the biggest stars and most memorable moments in WWE history. The roster was loaded with Hall of Fame talent from Austin, the Rock, Kurt Angle and the Undertaker to only name a few.

Austin was recently a guest on ‘Off The Board’ with Jimmy Traina. He spoke on a wide variety of topics about his life and wrestling. One of these topics was about Roman Reigns.

During the podcast, Austin praised Reigns. He says that even with the Hall of Fame roster of the ‘Attitude Era’, he thinks that Reigns would have thrived. Here is what he said:

“You put that guy in that line up during the Attitude Era, with that roster of Hall of Famers, guys that have yet to be in the Hall of Fame, holy smokes, I think the guy could’ve been lights out because the competition was so hot, heavy, and fierce. It was sink or swim. You got a bunch of guys out there with knives and you get in the way and they will cut you, so, I think he would’ve thrived in the Attitude Era and right now, just with his looks, his size, his physicality, he’s gonna be just fine and he’s gonna be a big star.”

A pretty big compliment from Austin, considering how talented the roster was at the time. This leads to the question, who on the current roster do you think would have thrived during the ‘Attitude Era’? Do you agree with Austin about Reigns? Or do you have other names in mind? We want to hear from you.
