There is a lot on the line when Brian Kendrick defends his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Kalisto at Survivor Series. If Kalisto wins, he not only wins the title, but the entire Cruiserweight division moves from RAW to Smackdown LIVE.
This should be an entertaining match between two extremely talented individuals. Kalisto has just returned from injury and has some momentum building after taking out Baron Corbin on Smackdown last week. He also picked up a win this week against NXT’s Oney Lorcan in a tune-up match before Sunday.
Brian Kendrick has been at odds with the entire Cruiserweight division on RAW. He is coming off of a win against Kalisto’s old tag team partner: Sin Cara on this weeks episode of RAW.
As for my prediction. News broke recently about the new Cruiserweight show: 205 Live, airing after Smackdown each week. I think it makes logistical sense to keep the Cruiserweight’s exclusively on that show. It came with a lot of hype after the Cruiserweight Classic but the division on RAW hasn’t found the same spark.
I see Kalisto winning and bringing the title and the Cruiserweight division to Smackdown LIVE.
