Goldberg wrestles inside a WWE ring for the first time in 12 years. It also marks 12 years since these two squared off at Wrestlemania XX, with Goldberg picking up the win.
Many consider their match at Wrestlemania to be a massive disappointment. Both guys didn’t look they cared and put on a mediocre match. They have a chance to right that wrong on Sunday.
I have found myself a lot more hyped for this match than I thought I would be. I think WWE has done a great job with the build and Goldberg looks better than ever. I think Lesnar and Goldberg will put on a solid match together.
The only thing I am worried about is Goldberg’s body. He is 49 years old and he isn’t facing a normal opponent. He is facing Brock Lesnar, who will be taking him to Suplex City. Hopefully his body holds up and he is able to last for a great match.
I fully expect Brock to win here. There is no way in my mind that the WWE has built up Brock this strong to have him lose to Goldberg, in probably his final match. My hope is that Goldberg and Lesnar put on a great match, ending the career of Goldberg on a high note.
