WWE has made it pretty clear that Seth Rollins is outnumbered in his current feud with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. For the second straight week on Monday Night RAW, Seth has ended up a victim of an attack from Dolph and Drew.
It seems pretty obvious that WWE is setting us up for something here. Let’s take a look at some of the latest rumors floating around about what will happen with Seth at Summerslam.
The biggest rumor floating around is that Dean Ambrose will return at Summerslam to help Seth neutralize Drew McIntyre. As we all know, Dean has been out of action for the past several months after tearing his triceps. A recent report suggested that Dean is very close to returning and will be back in WWE storylines by Summerslam. That is a pretty big hint that it could be Ambrose having the back of his old friend.
The second rumor came from a few weeks ago. The rumor suggested that Dean will be pairing up with Seth again as a tag team when he returns. This is another hint that Dean could be the guy helping Seth.
Another name that has come up a lot in this discussion is Jason Jordan. The same rumor mentioned above about Rollins and Ambrose teaming up again also mentioned Jordan. Instead of pairing up with Seth again, the rumor suggested that Jordan will actually be teaming with Chad Gable to reform American Alpha. If that is true, that would likely mean Jordan won’t be the guy to have Seth’s back at Summerslam.
To sum it all up, Dean returning at Summerslam seems to be the heavy favorite at the moment based on rumors. Jason Jordan is the wildcard if WWE feels like trolling fans.
