Theory On The Plans For The Universal Title Match At Clash Of Champions

One of the marquee matches at Clash of Champions will be between Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman. This will be for the Universal Championship. I wanted to pass along my theory on what will happen in this match.

To start, I want to say that WWE has booked themselves into a bit of a corner with this match. I don’t think that either guy should lose. Rollins just won the Universal Title from Brock Lesnar. It would be silly for Rollins to drop the belt right to Strowman. If that is going to be the case, why didn’t they just have Strowman beat Lesnar instead?

On the other hand, I also think that it would be a mistake for Strowman to lose this match. He always seems to come up short in big matches. This would be another Title match where he loses and it will hurt his image as WWE’s monster.

For those reasons, I think that we are going to see a screwy finish at Clash of Champions. My guess is that this match is going to end in a no-contest. This will come after both Seth and Braun are attacked by ‘The Fiend’. There are rumors that Bray will be challenging next for the Universal Championship and this could be a way to set that into motion.

This will set us up for Bray Wyatt vs Seth Rollins vs Braun Strowman at the Hell in a Cell PPV. It protects both Rollins and Strowman from losing clean. It also keeps their feud going for the next month.

At the moment, I just can’t see either Rollins or Strowman losing this match. My theory is that WWE will protect both of them by using Bray.
