We have some news to pass your way about a couple of wrestlers that WWE has interest in signing. This comes from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).
The first name making the rounds is Matt Riddle. Riddle has been heavily rumored to be signing with WWE over the past week or so.
Meltzer says that he can confirm that both New Japan Pro Wrestling and WWE have given offers to Riddle as of late.
The second name that WWE reportedly has interest in is Juice Robinson. Juice spent a few years in NXT under the name CJ Parker. He is currently doing well for NJPW and is the current IWGP United States Champion. Meltzer says that WWE has “great interest” in bringing back Juice.
The third name mentioned by Meltzer is former Lucha Underground star Angelico. Meltzer says that WWE has had interest in him for a few years on-and-off. His Lucha Underground contract was originally an issue but he has since left the company.
This doesn’t necessarily mean they are all signing, just that WWE has interest in them. It will be interesting to see if any of these end up happening.
