1) Eddie Guerrero & Art Barr vs El Hijo Del Santo & Octagon – WCW/AAA When Worlds Collide – Hair vs Mask.
The best match of Eddie Guerrero’s career is also one that you probably haven’t seen before. Eddie Guerrero and his tag team partner Art Barr stole the show against El Hijo Del Santo & Octagon in November of 1994.
The match took place at WCW/AAA When Worlds Collide in the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. This event was one of the first times that American fans were exposed to the Lucha Libre style of wrestling. The event featured some wrestlers that American fans are familiar with like: Eddie, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Konnan, Tito Santana, La Parka, 2 Cold Scorpio and Psicosis.
The match came about after Eddie Guerrero turned on El Hijo Del Santo. We saw Eddie and Barr put their long hair on the line against the sacred masks of Del Santo and Octagon. It was also 2/3 falls.
It was an excellent match that ended with Guerrero on the losing end. He and Barr were forced to cut each other’s hair in the middle of the ring after the match.
