Top 5 Reasons Why AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 33 Should NOT Happen

We are currently on the Road to WrestleMania, which means that everyone is covering the rumor mill. I believe it is safe to say, there is a good majority of wrestling fans, myself included, that are highly disappointed in the rumored WrestleMania 33 card. One of the many rumored matches is AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon, which even on paper doesn’t seem like a good match. Many fans are outraged by the possibility of this match occurring. Today, let’s take a look at 5 reasons why WWE should NOT book AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon at ‘The Showcase of Immortals’

5.) No Build Up/ Cause

At first glance, there hasn’t been any build up or hints to this match occurring within the past couple of months. The only thing that you could build off of, is during Survivor Series when Shane broke up the fight between AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose.

If they were to build the feud based off of the interaction at Survivor Series, it would seem like they would be dragging out something that occurred in the past.

If they were to build up to this match, they could have had it during Styles’s feud with John Cena. Not only that, Styles hasn’t really shown himself as an anti-authority figure, although he could most likely evolve into one if he really had to. There was a bit of tension teased when Shane McMahon announced the Elimination Chamber, but not really enough to build into a feud.

The only anti-authority figure, or at least seems to have a problem with authority, is Baron Corbin. It’ll be interesting to see how they build up this match if they do decide to move forward with the plan.
