It was noted prior that a tag team will be signing with WWE in 2018 (spoilers here). Now, it appears as if they will be joined by a male and a female star from the world of independent wrestling.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ricochet will be signing with WWE soon. Ricochet is considered as one of the best high-flyers in wrestling today.
Johnson notes that Impact Wrestling took a shot at signing Ricochet but they were unsuccessful. He is expected to join the WWE Performance Center when he does officially sign.

Also, Johnson teases a major female independent star signing with WWE. He doesn’t mention a name, but teases this:
“There are other names circulating as well as potentially being signed, including a very prominent female independent talent”
Anyone have any guesses on who that could be? Regardless, it looks like WWE will be adding a new female star over the next few months.
