Survivor Series is officially in the books. The main event saw Triple H turn on Kurt Angle, delivering a pedigree to him in the men’s elimination match. Triple H would go on to win the match after hitting Shane McMahon with a pedigree. Triple H was attacked after the match by Braun Strowman.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), both Triple H and Angle worked the match hurt.
Triple H was reportedly banged up after wrestling several matches on WWE’s European tour the week prior. This might explain why Triple H was not involved much in the actual match, except for the ending sequence.
Angle’s knee was reportedly in bad shape for the match. You likely noticed that it was bandaged heavily for the match. It also appears like Angle got banged up while wrestling on WWE’s European Tour. Here is a photo of Angle’s knee taped up:
