The user, also known as ‘Da Belt Guy’ on BeltTalk.com, is very respected within the belt collecting community. They have previously reported strong information on the WWE Universal Title and the WWE Women’s Title in the past.

They posted a reddit thread on Thursday saying that two new title designs are coming for WWE:. The Intercontinental and the United States Championship:
“I was told they were looking into a new IC belt back in November, but a different source said they are replacing both Midcard belts. No eta, no clue on design other than it’s NOT copies of the Big Logo.”
When asked why they would get rid of the Intercontinental Title belt, they responded by saying:
“They want fresh designs they own the rights to. IC belt is copyright of Parks/Millican/Mann LLC. WWE is no longer using Dave Millican for their belts, so they probably want to drop the design so they don’t have to pay royalties”
Our take: On Smackdown Live this week, Dean Ambrose asked Shane McMahon for a new title belt because it had spray tan on it from the Miz. This could be a bit of a tease for a new belt design. We will have to wait and see what happens. It does make sense though.
