Here are some potential matches for the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 36. This is obviously assuming that the Undertaker wrestles at the event.
5) The Undertaker vs Aleister Black
Let’s start with something a bit off the board. I would love to see the Undertaker vs Aleister Black before the Deadman hangs up the boots.
Both of them have dark characters and both of them are great strikers. I am not saying that Black is the next Undertaker but I think that there are definitely some similarities between them. This could make for a dark and fun feud between them in the build towards the event.
This would be a way for WWE to use an established legend like the Undertaker and use him to help elevate a newer talent like Aleister Black. Black doesn’t even have to win, just being in the ring with someone as legendary as the Undertaker will be huge for him and his career.
I don’t know if it will ever happen, but I would like to see ‘Taker vs Black at some point.
4) The Undertaker vs Drew McIntyre
Another route that WWE could go for Wrestlemania 36 is the Undertaker vs Drew McIntyre.
It seems pretty clear that WWE is very high on McIntyre. He has been pretty protected over the past year and I don’t think that is going to change anytime soon. He seems like he would be a very credible opponent for the Deadman. This is based on his size and overall presence.
This match would be easy to set up too since they will be in the ring together at Extreme Rules. All WWE has to do is have Shane McMahon take the pinfall in the match. Plus, they could limit the interactions between Drew and the Undertaker in the match, which leaves fans wanting more.
Even if Drew loses at Wrestlemania 36, it would still be solid for his career to share the ring with someone like the Deadman. I would not be upset if we got Drew vs ‘Taker at Wrestlemania 36. I think that it could be a fun match.
