3) The Undertaker vs AJ Styles
I think that the Undertaker vs AJ Styles could be a great decision for a couple of reasons. The first is that WWE has an easy marketing slogan with ‘The Phenom vs The Phenomenal One’.
The main reason though is that AJ Styles will make ‘Taker look like a million bucks. At his age, he is looking pretty slow and not like the ‘Taker that we know and love. How do you remedy that? Put him in the ring with someone like AJ Styles, who is considered to be one of the best wrestlers in the World.
Being the smaller guy, Styles can take most of the bumps in the match. This takes a lot of the pressure off the Undertaker’s body. Plus, Styles has worked some great matches with big guys in his career, so they would likely be able to put together something really fun.
I think that this could be a really fun match for the event. With Styles now as a heel, I have to wonder if this is a feud that WWE could be considering.
2) The Undertaker vs Braun Strowman
I have to include the Undertaker vs Braun Strowman on my list. To me, Strowman is a prime candidate to be the guy to eventually retire the Deadman.
WWE teased this match a few years ago. Braun and the Undertaker went face-to-face in the middle of the ring before Braun retreated. This was a cool moment and got fans thinking about a future match between them.
I am not sure how great the match would be but it would definitely be physical. Both guys would likely beat the crap out of one another.
If WWE is looking to ‘pass-the-torch’ with the Undertaker, Braun is definitely on the short list of opponents.
