Who AJ Styles’ Theme Song Was Originally Planned For

It is amazing how things can work out sometimes. We have heard in the past that Shinsuke Nakamura turned down the ‘Glorious’ theme song that has become a staple of Bobby Roode’s career in WWE. We now have another cool tidbit to share.

This time, it has to do with the original plan for AJ Styles’ theme song.

According to Road Dogg on the latest Table for 3 episodeAJ’s theme song was originally written for James Storm.

Storm had a very brief run with NXT back in 2015. He decided not to sign with WWE and ended up going back to TNA. It turns out that the theme song was being written for Storm until he decided to go in another direction.

Styles made his debut a few months later in the 2016 Royal Rumble match using the song.

Looks like it worked out perfectly for Styles.
