Wrestlers Court Stories From Backstage WWE

8) Diva Dodgeball

At Summerslam 2004, you might remember that the WWE Women’s roster faced off against the WWE Diva Search contestants in a game of dodgeball.

The Diva Search contestants defeated the Women’s roster. As a result, the Women’s roster was brought forth to Wrestlers Court. This was because the guys backstage thought it was embarrassing that the Women’s roster would lose to the rookies.

Former WWE star Ivory served as the defense attorney and Triple H served as the judge (one of the rare cases that the Undertaker wasn’t the judge). Ivory told the story in one of her shoot interviews.

The Women’s defense was that the game was a ‘work’ meaning they let the Diva Search competitors win. This was a way to put the new girls over in order to make them look good. They wouldn’t want to put them over in the ring, so a stupid dodgeball game was the perfect way to do it.

Ivory says that Triple H and the rest of the boys shut down their defense and found them guilty for making the rest of the roster look bad.

They eventually bribed Triple H with some gift certificates and the charges were dropped.

7) Raven Isn’t Allowed To Speak In The WWE Locker Room

Tommy Dreamer was a guest on the Why It Ended with Robbie E podcast. During the podcast, he revealed some details about Raven having backstage heat in WWE.

This heat led to a trip to Wrestlers court for Raven. It is unclear what he did but he received a stiff punishment:

“Have you ever met Raven? Raven back then had a lot of heat– He would be himself and he would also solicit. He was, at one point, not allowed to talk in the WWE locker room for two months. He had to go to wrestler’s court and the only time he was allowed to speak was when he was able to go over his matches and if he was caught speaking, his sentence would double, so he went a month, maybe two months without speaking. Pretty funny. Sh*tty time for him, but he kinda dug his own grave.”

Ouch.
