2) Teddy Long Goes To Court For Two Different Reasons
One of the most famous stories of Wrestlers Court has to do with Teddy Long, Bradshaw, and Ron Simmons. The trio used to ride together from town-to-town.
Bradshaw and Simmons once took Long to wrestlers court because he was so cheap. They said that every time a toll booth would come around, Teddy would pretend to be sleeping so that he wouldn’t have to pitch in money for the toll.
Teddy Long admitted that he was a “cheap motherf*****” during his shoot interview with Kayfabe Commentaries. He says that he would always pretend to forget his wallet in situations, forcing Bradshaw and Simmons to pay for everything.
Long also says that he was brought into court a second time for selling Viagra to wrestlers. He would give them a pill to try and they would get hooked, always coming back for more. Teddy used Mae Young as his attorney and the Undertaker was the judge in his case.
Teddy lost both cases. He had to buy beer and chicken for the APA for a month (that is a lot of chicken and beer). He also had to buy a few cases of beer for the Undertaker as a result of the second charge.
1) The Miz Goes To Court And Gets Banned From The WWE Locker Room
The Miz came to WWE after starring on MTV’s hit show: The Real World. Coming into WWE, you can imagine that he had some heat on him from some of the wrestlers that didn’t think he paid his dues to get to where he was.
The Miz was kicked out of the locker room for several months after he first made his debut on WWE TV. The Miz told the story on an appearance on Talk is Jericho.
Miz says that he was in the locker room eating some chicken, and he was accused of spilling crumbs on Chris Benoit’s bags. As a result, Benoit was furious and chewed him out in the locker room.
The Miz was eventually forced into Wrestlers Court where he was banned from the locker room. At first, Benoit told him that he was only banned from the locker room for TV events and not for house shows. That changed to he was eventually banned from all shows and had to dress alone.
He says in the interview that he was forced to change by himself in private and sometimes had to use the public bathroom before shows with the audience.
WWE actually used this as a bit of a storyline back in 2011. The Miz cut a promo about getting chicken on JBL and a referees bag and being kicked out of the locker room. They used a referee instead of the name of Benoit because of WWE’s ban of mentioning anything Benoit-related.
