WWE Battleground 2017 Predictions – RawView

This Sunday we have Americans fighting foreigners, Womens fighting for opportunities, and Fashion Police solving unsolved mysteries. The card for this Sunday actually looks quite decent having to try and follow a Great Balls of Fire network special that some felt was meh, while others like myself thought it was the best of the year. We have the return of two matches that rank extremely low on most anticipated stipulation matches you want to see at any given time. Also a match that you probably didn’t even know was announced in Tye Dillinger and Aiden English. I went five out of seven in my last predictions article this month let’s see if I can improve on that on Sunday.

Tye Dillinger vs. Aiden English

Kickoff Show Match

The build to this has just been lazy with the two of them having match after match after match after match with nothing behind it. Dillinger will and should pick-up the win. This preshow spot is actually really good for them as they will likely get more time to work on the pre-show than they would on the main card with the matches they have on this card.

What I would like to see is someone like Goldust attack Dillinger after the match. With Jordan going over to Raw I would hope someone would be coming over to Smackdown Live, Goldust would be the perfect first real feud for Dillinger and could really help elevate him.

Winner: Tye Dillinger

The Usos vs. The New Day

Smackdown Tag Team Title Match

Like most other matches on this card this tag team title match has been built up fairly well. We got a really good tag match out of them at the last network special and then we had the extremely well praised rap battle weeks ago. While I love what the Usos are doing right now the New Day is still the hottest tag act in all the WWE.

The Usos have had a pretty good run with the titles and I also worry a bit that they may be in hot water after the rated r rap line to Xavier Woods. With all that said the New Day wins setting up what will likely be the culmination of this feud as we start to build other tag teams underneath.

Winners & New Champions: The New Day

Natayla vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lana vs. Tamina vs. Becky Lynch

Fatal Five Way #1 Contender Match

This is the hardest match on the card to predict hands down. They have done a very good job keeping all of the women looking strong and like real competitors going into the match on Sunday. What they haven’t done a good job of lately is the promo’s the women have betting cutting. Go back and watch every week it starts with Charlotte and then she’s interrupted by Natayla who is interrupted by Becky and then Tamina yells at them way out-of-place.

Where they lack in promos has certainly been picked up in the ring. Carmella is lurking with the briefcase and Naomi has been built as a credible champion with squash victories over Lana. Becky got the win on Smackdown, Tamina and Lana stood strong after the women’s match and Charlotte has unfinished business with Naomi as their match never actually finished. Look for Becky to begin feuding with Tamina and Lana and Carmella to be involved with the title picture. Charlotte pins Natayla with Natural Selection pinning Becky Lynch.

Winner & Number One Contender: Charlotte
