Extreme Rules takes place this Sunday! The event is headlined by a fatal 5-way match where the winner will earn themselves a WWE Universal Championship opportunity against Brock Lesnar. Sasha Banks and Rich Swann Will Win
Extreme Rules will feature a mixed tag team match. Sasha Banks and Rich Swann will be taking on Alicia Fox and Noam Dar.
Sasha and Fox have been trading wins for the past several weeks on Monday Night RAW. Many fans of ‘The Boss’ have been upset that she isn’t in the Women’s Title picture at the moment. This feud was clearly designed to keep Sasha busy for the time being.
There is no doubt in my mind that Sasha and Swann will win this match. If we had to guess, Sasha will be the next challenger for the RAW Women’s Title at Great Balls of Fire. If Sasha’s team is going to lose the match, expect Swann to take the pin from Dar and not Sasha from Alicia.
If I was putting money on it, I would be betting on Sasha and Swann to win.
Neville Will Retain The Cruiserweight Championship
Neville will defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Austin Aries. This will be a rematch from Wrestlemania 33 where Neville was able to retain.
I am a big fan of Austin Aries and think that him winning the title would be great. However, I have this feeling that WWE is going to be keeping the title on Neville.
Neville has been great so far as a heel and I have been enjoying his title run. I think WWE will keep him as champion until Summerslam, where he will eventually be defeated. I am not sure who will be the one to slay the “King of the Cruiserweight’s” but I don’t think it will be Aries.
I expect to TJP to play some sort of role in this match, helping Neville retain the title.
The Miz Will NOT Win The Intercontinental Title
Dean Ambrose will defend his WWE Intercontinental Title against the Miz. If Ambrose is disqualified, he still loses the belt.
The deck is stacked against the ‘Lunatic Fringe’ in this match. WWE clearly wants us to believe that the Miz is going to do something underhanded to win the title. Something as simple as a WWE star interfering to attack the Miz will win him the belt.
Still with the odds against Ambrose, I think he will retain. WWE has been doing a lot to make us believe the Miz is winning, so I think they could swerve us.
If I had to guess, instead of Ambrose getting disqualified, the Miz will somehow get himself disqualified from the match. This will come after him and Maryse try their hardest to get Ambrose disqualified.
Regardless of how it happens, I think Ambrose is walking out of the event as Intercontinental Champion.
