The ‘Grand Slam’ In WWE has changed over the years because of new title belts being introduced or discontinued. WWE says that in order to join the (new) list of WWE Grand Slam winners, you have to be an:
“Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, any permutation of the Tag Team Championship and either active heavyweight title — as in, WWE Championship or, the WWE Universal Championship”
At this link is the list of WWE stars who have achieved it already in WWE. Below, will be a list of WWE stars who are only one title away. We have ranked them based on their likelihood to accomplish the feat.
9) Shelton Benjamin
Titles Held:
- Intercontinental Championship
- United States Championship
- Tag Team Championship
Title Missing:
- A World Title (WWE Championship Or WWE Universal Championship)
Potential to accomplish:
- This seems very doubtful. I really don’t think that WWE pulls the trigger on a Shelton Benjamin World Title run at his age but you never know!
8) Kane
Titles Held:
- WWE Championship
- Intercontinental Championship
- Tag Team Championship
Title Missing:
- United States Championship
Potential to accomplish:
- Kane is actually a Grand Slam winner under the old rules (WWE Title, Tag Team Title, Intercontinental Title & Hardcore Title). Under the new format, he needs a U.S Title reign. This seems very doubtful at his age.
7) Triple H
Titles Held:
- WWE Championship
- Intercontinental Championship
- Tag Team Championship
Title Missing:
- United States Championship
Potential to accomplish:
- Triple H is also a grand slam winner under the old rules. Under the new guidelines, he needs to win the U.S Title. It seems like Triple H’s days of chasing titles are far from over, so this seems very unlikely.
