It turns out that WWE is making some changes to the format of the show for the second season. Using the official press release as our guide, here are some of the changes that will be made for season two of the show:
– There will be 14 episodes this season. Each episode will be around 30 minutes. This is up from last season, where there were 12 episodes at about 20-25 minutes of length.
– There will be two matches per episode. Last season there was only one match per episode.
– It is going to be a round-robin, elimination format. This means that each team is going to have multiple matches, instead of the single-elimination style tournament of last year.
– There will be an interactive pre-show beginning at 9:50 PM (EST).
– The final match will take place at the TLC PPV event in December. This is a big change from last year.
Here are the confirmed teams:
- The Miz & Asuka
- Jimmy Uso & Naomi
- Rusev & Lana
- AJ Styles & Charlotte Flair
- R-Truth & Carmella
- Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss
- Bobby Lashley & Sasha Banks
- Finn Bálor & Bayley
- Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox
- Kevin Owens & Natalya
