9) Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy has had a lengthy career in professional wrestling. You might not know that he once appeared in a match for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

His only match came at Wrestle Kingdom V in 2011. Jeff actually defended his TNA World Heavyweight Championship at the event against Tetsuya Naito.

8) Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash wrestled a handful of matches for New Japan Pro Wrestling over the span of his career.

According to purocentral.com, here are the matches that Nash wrestled for NJPW. Nash’s gimmick was previously ‘the Great Oz’ in case you are confused by the first few matches:

– October 17th, 1991 in New Japan: The Great Oz  and Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Hiro Saito and Scott Norton
– October 18th, 1991 in New Japan: The Great Oz and Akira Nogami vs. Crusher Bam Bam Bigelow and Norio Honaga
– May 17th, 1992 in New Japan: The Great Oz vs. Shinya Hashimoto
– May 5th, 1997 in New Japan: Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Masahiro Chono vs. Keiji Mutoh and The Steiner Brothers
– January 4th, 2009 in New Japan: Kevin Nash, Angle, Chono, and Choshu vs. Giant Bernard, Karl Anderson, Iizuka, and Ishii

7) Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle actually won the IGF version of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from Brock Lesnar in 2007. He later lost the title to Shinsuke Nakamura in 2008 to unify IGF’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship and NJPW’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Angle wrestled at Wrestle Kingdom II and III for NJPW. He was also defeated by Hiroshi Tanahashi in 2009.
