WWE Records That Will Never Be Broken

5) Total Royal Rumble Matches Entered – Kane

Kane has entered 19 Royal Rumble matches in his career. The first of these came in 1996. The only two that he missed over a 20-year span was in 1998 and 2012 (he still appeared at both of those events but in other matches).

To give you an idea of how crazy it is to enter 19 Royal Rumble matches, the next closest person to him is Goldust at 13. Goldust made his Rumble debut one year later than Kane in 1997. I would be pretty shocked if Goldust entered another 7 Rumble matches to break this one.

The only bit of hope for this record comes from three current stars. The Miz, Kofi Kingston, and Dolph Ziggler are all tied with 11 Total appearances. Still, one of them would have to appear in 9 more to break this record.

Kane is a legend who also holds the record for most eliminations at 44.

4) Oldest WWE Champion – Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon won the WWF Championship on an episode of Smackdown in September of 1999 by defeating Triple H.

Shane McMahon was the special guest referee and McMahon had some help from ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, who took out Triple H. He won the match and became the oldest WWE Champion in history at the age of 54.

The decision for Vince to win the title was controversial considering that he was the owner of the company and he booked himself to be champion. Vince would vacate the title a few days later on RAW. If you want to count the ECW Championship, McMahon won the title against Bobby Lashley at Backlash 2007. He was 61 years old.

I guess being the booker and owner of WWE has its perks. Whether you count it as 54 or 61, both pretty tough ages for anyone to beat.

3) Longest WWE Championship Reign – Bruno Sammartino

Bruno Sammartino is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He also has an untouchable record in the WWE record books.

Sammartino held onto the WWE title for an astronomical 2,803 days from 1963 until 1971.

Just to give you some perspective, CM Punk [or Brock Lesnar depending on who you ask] holds the modern-day record of 434 days holding the WWE strap…… Imagine a champion holding onto the title for 8 years in this day and age.

If you want to count combined title reigns, he has held the title for 4,040 days total. The closest to him is Hulk Hogan at 2,185 combined days…. Legend.

This will forever live in the WWE history books and will never be broken.
