WWE Royal Rumble 2020 Predictions
8) Women’s Royal Rumble Match
— Winner Challenges The Women’s Champion Of Their Choosing At Wrestlemania 36 (CONFIRMED)
WWE has confirmed that there will be another Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2020. This will be the third in WWE history. Below are the participants who have been officially confirmed for the match. Plus, the NXT stars and legends who we think will take part in the match.

NXT Participant Predictions:
- Rhea Ripley seems likely since she played a major role in Survivor Series. I would have her back in this match and interacting with more of the main roster women. It would be fun to see a future match teased between Charlotte Flair and Rhea on the main roster.
- I think that Shayna Baszler will also be taking part in this match. My gut says that Shayna is heading to the main roster soon, so this would make sense.
- Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai are two other names who I am going to predict as participants. They didn’t actually wrestle at NXT Takeover: WarGames, so I see them in this match. Plus, WWE can keep their storyline going in the Rumble match and have them eliminate one another.
- Kay Lee Ray is my final pick. I think that it would be smart to have a representative from NXT UK in the match and she would fit as the current Women’s Champion.
WWE Legends Predictions:
- I am going with Victoria in her final match ever. She recently retired but I could see WWE bringing her back for this one match. I think that fans would be excited to see her and it would be a nice send-off for her.
- Michelle McCool is another prediction of mine. She dominated two years ago but didn’t appear in the Rumble match last year. I see her coming back in 2020 and putting on another strong performance.
- Lita is my final pick. I could see Lita returning and potentially setting up a match at Wrestlemania 36.
As for the match itself, it should be fun. Royal Rumble matches usually are. To me, there are only a handful of candidates who I could see actually winning. Right now, those candidates are Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, and Ronda Rousey.
Winner Prediction:
- My gut says that Ronda Rousey is going to return as the #30 entrant. She will eliminate everyone to win the match. This will set up Ronda vs Becky Lynch at Wrestlemania 36 in the match that everybody still wants to see.
7) Roman Reigns vs King Corbin
— Falls Count Anywhere Match (CONFIRMED)
WWE has confirmed that Roman Reigns and King Corbin will be facing off at the Royal Rumble. This will be a ‘Falls Count Anywhere’ match as chosen by Roman Reigns. They will both also take part in the men’s Royal Rumble match later on in the show.
The ‘Falls Count Anywhere’ stipulation was a great choice. It will be fun to see them fight all over the baseball stadium. I think that it will end up being a really good match.
My hope is that this is the final match of their feud though. It is time for both guys to move on to something different.
Winner Prediction:
- Roman Reigns is most likely going to win. I would be surprised to see him lose as he is a favorite to win the men’s Royal Rumble match later on in the show.
6) Becky Lynch vs Asuka
— RAW Women’s Championship (CONFIRMED)
WWE has officially confirmed that Becky Lynch and Asuka will be facing off at the Royal Rumble PPV. This will be for Becky’s RAW Women’s Championship.
Becky and Asuka will likely put on a really good match. They put on a fun match at the Royal Rumble last year and I am sure that they will put on an even better one this time. I am really excited about this one and it could steal the show.
Winner Prediction:
- I am going with Becky Lynch winning to retain her title. That way, their series will be tied at 1-1, which sets up a future trilogy match between them.
