On this weeks episode of Smackdown Live, Randy Orton said that he refused to face off against his leader: Bray Wyatt. Orton previously won the 2017 Royal Rumble and earned himself an automatic shot at the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 33.

On Talking Smack, Daniel Bryan announced that there would be a battle royal next week on Smackdown Live to determine the new number one contender for Wyatt’s title. So what the heck is going to happen with Bray at Wrestlemania 33?
There are two rumors floating around surrounding Wyatt and his potential opponent(s) at the event.
The first rumor is that Luke Harper is going to win the battle royal next week and earn himself a chance against Bray Wyatt. WWE planted the seeds for this prior to the main event when Harper attacked Wyatt, nearly costing him the belt. As a result, Orton will also become involved in the match, making it a triple-threat for the WWE Championship between Wyatt Family members.
The other rumor circulating is that the plan is still for it to be Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania. WWE has been building this up for several months, teasing the split between Wyatt and Orton. Orton saying that he won’t compete is just another way to build intrigue into the angle before he eventually turns on his ‘master’. The battle royal throws a wrench into things but there is still the possibility of Orton facing off against the battle royal winner to determine Bray’s opponent. There are still 8 weeks until Wrestlemania and tons of time to build.

It appears as if these are the only two real options for Bray at Wrestlemania. I am personally leaning towards Harper being involved in all of this.

Doesn’t the rumble winner have the choice to go after any title? If so got after the universal title.
