The 2017 Elimination Chamber PPV was Smackdown Live’s final event before Wrestlemania 33. As a result, we saw a number of seeds planted for potential matches at the big event. Here are the likely matches that WWE set up for Smackdown’s roster at Wrestlemania 33.

Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton – WWE Championship
- WWE Champion vs Royal Rumble winner.
John Cena and Nikki Bella vs The Miz and Maryse
- This match has been rumored for the past few weeks now. It was teased at the Elimination Chamber when Nikki bumped into Maryse backstage (more details here).
Baron Corbin vs Dean Ambrose – WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Ambrose eliminated Corbin with a roll-up in the Chamber match. Corbin proceeded to kick the crap out of Dean, causing his elimination.
AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon
- Nothing was teased for AJ in the Elimination Chamber, making this rumored match a strong possibility.

American Alpha vs the Usos – Smackdown Tag Team Titles
- American Alpha were able to eliminate the Usos from the Tag Team Turmoil match at the Elimination Chamber PPV. The Usos proceeded to kick the crap out of them before leaving. This one makes sense considering they are the two top teams on the roster.
Naomi vs Alexa Bliss vs Mickie James vs Becky Lynch – Smackdown Women’s Championship.
- Only speculation on my part. Guessing WWE tosses all four of these ladies together for Wrestlemania like they are rumored to be doing with the ladies of the RAW roster.
The rest will be either off the card or in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
