WWE Rumors Of The Day (January 1st, 2018)
– The @Wrestlevotes account says that Shane McMahon is penciled in for a high-profile match at WrestleMania 34. It is unclear what it will be but it will likely involve Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. As noted prior, this is the account that is credited with breaking the news of Neville’s walk-out of WWE.
– The account also suggests that the Undertaker vs John Cena is “not definite but certainly on the table”. There are apparently many employees within WWE that believe the Undertaker is finished.
– As noted prior, it was reported that Braun Strowman was sent home from WWE’s holiday tour due to an illness. On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer says that Strowman has the flu.
– Wade Barrett joked about a Royal Rumble appearance on Instagram, saying: “To those complaining about my abs, don’t worry they’ll be back by The Rumble”.
– Former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn (real name: Celeste Bonin) will be returning to the ring. She announced that she will be wrestling on February 10th for Coastal Championship Wrestling. Her return opponent will be Rachel Ellering (competed in the Mae Young Classic as Rachel Evers). Based on the date of the show, it looks like we can count her out of a Royal Rumble appearance.
