WWE Rumors: Potential Ladder Match For The U.S Title

Dolph Ziggler vacated the United States Championship a few weeks ago on Smackdown Live. Daniel Bryan announced a tournament that will determine a new Champion. Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal both won their first-round matches on Smackdown this week. There are still two more matches to determine the semi-finals.

As we speculated after Dolph left the title in the ring, it looks like WWE could be mimicking an old storyline of the past. We suggested that this was a mirror of the storyline that WWE did with CM Punk and the WWE Title back in 2011.

Potential Ladder Match:

The Twitter account @Wrestlevotes suggests that it could be mirroring another storyline from the past. For those curious, the @Wrestlevotes account has been credited with breaking the story of Neville walking out of WWE.

They suggest that this could lead to a ladder match, similar to what happened at Wrestlemania X. For those that forget, both Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon faced off in a ladder match after both claiming that they were the true Intercontinental Champion. The account suggests that the Ziggler storyline could be leading to a ladder match between him and whoever wins the U.S Title tournament.

It would make sense since a report suggests that Ziggler is still working live events for WWE but is being kept off television. The ladder match is a rumor though so take with a grain of salt.

What would you think of this happening? Would you like to see it?
