After a few weeks of rumors, it was made official on RAW this week. WWE Champion: Jinder Mahal will face off against Universal Champion: Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.
Here are the latest rumors about the match between Jinder and Brock. These have been circulating the web for the past 24 hours.
Brock vs Jinder rumors
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported on Monday that word going around backstage is that John Cena will be named the special guest referee for the match.
Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), says that there is going to be special guest referee for the match but Cena isn’t confirmed as of yet. There is apparently a short list of guys that WWE is discussing for the role. Cena is one of the names but isn’t considered a lock.
The reason for the special guest referee according to Meltzer is for there to be “someone who would be intriguing in the ring with Brock Lesnar”.
Bryan Alvarez on Observer Radio speculated that if it is Cena as the referee, we could see Brock win. WWE would also set up Jinder vs Cena for the Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania. We will have to wait and see what ends up happening.
