It has been rumored for the past several weeks that Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt could be facing off at Wrestlemania 33. From a storyline perspective, it appears as if WWE is building towards the match, with Randy slowly dismantling the Wyatt Family from within (as we saw this week with Bray attacking Harper).
What is very interesting is the latest rumors surrounding Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton’s rumored match at Wrestlemania 33. There is talk going around that the match could have a lot higher stakes than we might think.
In case you missed it, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here) laid out some of the Wrestlemania matches that are being heavily discussed right now. This included 3 big matches from Smackdown: Orton vs Wyatt, AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon and John Cena vs Samoa Joe (Note: these are not set in stone but are being heavily discussed).
Many believed that this would mean Samoa Joe and Cena would likely be for the WWE World Title at Wrestlemania, but think again…..

Rumors are circulating that it could actually be the Orton and Wyatt feud with the World Title on the line. In this situation, regardless of who wins between Styles and Cena at the Rumble, they have to defend the title in an Elimination Chamber match in a few weeks… This would mean that one of Orton/Waytt would win the Royal Rumble and the one that doesn’t would win the title in the Elimination Chamber match.
As of writing this, Randy Orton is the odds on favorite to win the Royal Rumble match on multiple betting sites.
