IWNerd’s Pick: The Usos

  • I don’t think that there is anybody really close to what the Usos have done this year. They have completely reinvented themselves and have set fire to the Smackdown Tag Team division. Every Pay-Per-View I find myself looking forward to the Usos match, and they seem to deliver every single time. From their work on the mic, to their in-ring performances, they deserve a lot of credit for what they have done in 2017.

Michael’s Pick:  The Usos

  • It’s not paranoia that The Usos are the best Tag Team in the WWE as long as they can back it up & The Usos have backed it up! The Uso’s transition into a heel tag team was a much-needed change & might have been one of the best decisions WWE had made for their tag team divisions. The Usos have captured the Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions, put on A+ matches & have made SDLive’s tag team division into must-see TV in 2017! Furthermore, what I love about The Usos is that they have won their matches based on skill instead of the typical heel tactics but I guess that’s why The Usos have the tag team divisions on lock & have already tossed away the key.

IWNerd’s Pick:  Braun Strowman.

  • Last year, if you would have told me that Braun Strowman would be one of my favorite parts of WWE television, I probably would have laughed at you. Braun has turned into a legitimate monster in WWE that we haven’t seen in a long time. Not only does he have the size, but he has the athletic ability to do things like kip-ups. People forget that Braun had only a handful of matches under his belt when he first made his debut on the main roster. He has proved in 2017 that he belongs in the main event and I think that we will see him there for many years to come.

Michael’s Pick:  Drew McIntyre

  • If there is one thing I love in the WWE, that’s a comeback story. 2017 was truly the best year of Drew McIntyre’s life. After being previously let go by the WWE ages ago, Drew would burst back onto the scene at NXT Takeover: Orlando. Not only had Drew improved in size but his wrestling ability had greatly improved. He had stayed undefeated & set his sights on NXT’s biggest prize, the NXT Championship. Taking on a seemly unbeatable champion; all of Drew’s hard work since being let go from the WWE years ago had finally paid off, he was finally the top champion in one of WWE’s biggest brands within a couple of months of his NXT debut. Sadly, Drew’s reign would be short-lived due to an injury but all of Drew’s hard work proved that Vince’s comment a decade ago about being WWE’s Chosen One was just a foreshadowing of future great things to come
