6) Kevin Owens vs Braun Strowman For The Money In The Bank Briefcase
Kevin Owens will challenge Braun Strowman at Summerslam. If Owens wins the match, he will get control of Strowman’s Money in the Bank briefcase. This has certainly made things very interesting.
I have a gut feeling that Owens will be walking out with the briefcase. The stipulation is that if Braun even gets himself disqualified from the match, Owens wins the contract. I could see Owens planning some scheme where somebody interferes and attacks him, which technically disqualifies Strowman. Something sneaky to give Owens control of that contract.
My guess is that Owens will cash-in later in the show to win the Universal Title from Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar (whoever is Champion).
Official Prediction: Owens wins control of the briefcase.
5) Carmella vs Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair Smackdown Women’s Championship
Carmella vs Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship has been confirmed for Summerslam. This was changed from Becky vs Carmella after Charlotte earned her way into the match.
I feel like I have been predicting Carmella to lose the Title for the past few months and it still hasn’t happened. The question that I have is, does WWE want to put the belt on Becky?
My gut says yes. There are some solid matches ahead for Becky as Champion. That includes potential match-ups vs Charlotte Flair and Asuka. That also could include a Survivor Series match against Ronda Rousey if they are both holding the Women’s Titles. I think the time is now for Becky Balboa and my gut says that a Title change will be happening.
Official Prediction: Becky wins the Title.
4) Ronda Rousey vs Alexa Bliss – RAW Women’s Championship
WWE has officially confirmed Alexa Bliss vs Ronda Rousey at Summerslam for the RAW Women’s Championship. Ronda will more than likely be the heavy favorite heading into the match.
I originally thought that the only way Ronda would be pinned would be if Natalya turned on her and cost her the match. With what happened to Natalya’s dad, Jim Neidhart, there is no way WWE turns her heel anytime soon. As a result, I think it is looking more and more likely that Ronda walks out as Champion.
There is the chance that Alexa gets herself disqualified to retain but I am thinking that WWE puts the strap on Ronda here.
Official Prediction: Ronda wins the Title.
3) Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar – WWE Universal Championship
It has been officially confirmed that Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE Universal Championship at Summerslam against Roman Reigns.
With Brock Lesnar leaving for the UFC, there is no question in my mind that Reigns will be winning the Title. It is finally time to pull the trigger on the end of Brock’s reign.
The only question I have is if Reigns will be the one walking out as Champion. I think we will see Owens or Strowman (whoever is holding the briefcase) cash-in to close the show. That would obviously set-up a Roman vs Braun/Owens feud for the next few months. Regardless, the Title is coming off of Brock.
Official Prediction: Reigns wins the Title but gets cashed-in on.
