In the rich history of the Royal Rumble match, we have seen some incredible individual performances. We previously listed the 5 superstars that lasted the longest inside the ring of a single Royal Rumble match. Here are the WWE stars with the most Royal Rumble eliminations in a single match.

List Of The Most Royal Rumble Eliminations In A Single Match (Men’s)

5) Shawn Michaels (1995 & 1996) and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin (1999)

— 8 Eliminations

Shawn Michales entered the 1995 Royal Rumble match in the first spot. He went on to win, piling up 8 eliminations in the process.

Michaels also won the Rumble match in 1996, this time entering in the number 18 spot. Michaels piled up 8 eliminations for the second straight year.

Stone Cold Steve Austin entered the 1999 Royal Rumble match in the first spot. He ended up making it to the very end before being eliminated by Mr. McMahon. Austin piled up 8 eliminations before being tossed out.


4) Hulk Hogan (1989) and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin (1997) 

— 10 Eliminations

Hulk Hogan entered the 1989 Royal Rumble match in the #18 spot. In just over 11 minutes of ring time, Hogan compiled an impressive 10 eliminations. He was eventually eliminated by both Akeem and The Big Boss Man.

‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin entered the 1997 Royal Rumble match in the number 5 spot. He was tossed over the top rope during the match by Bret Hart but the referees never saw it as they were occupied with a brawl going on outside of the ring. Austin would last eliminate Hart to win the Rumble, piling up 10 eliminations.


3) Kane (2001)

— 11 Eliminations

Kane would enter the 2001 Rumble in the number 6 spot. He would dominate the match, piling up 11 eliminations.

He wasn’t able to win the match though as he was eliminated by ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. Still, it was a great performance from Kane.

  1. Correction: Hulk Hogan was the first person to win back to back Royal Rumbles. He won in 1990 and 1991. HBK was the first to do it after the ‘Winner gets a title shot at Mania’ stipulation was added in 1993.
